On the Contrary...

"Play Nice" shirt and hat courtesy of the amazing and wonderful Sierra Belle Boutique

I've received many messages from women in the industry asking me what to wear...

What do you wear when you're interviewing an athlete? What do you wear when you're going to be sitting in the press box all day? Is a dress too much for a press conference?

The answer, is yes. The answer is also no. This is coming from a girl who interviewed Tony La Russa in a dress I wore to a fancy event and I broke Clint Barmes' retirement in cheap pants I bought in high school and the only clean shirt I could find.

I'm all about diversity which is why I head to Sierra Belle Boutique before an event, because I know it is the perfect place to find unique outfits for any occasion. The Belles are super helpful in developing stylish outfits if I'm ever scratching my brain for anything.

Here's the thing, I'm not normal. I'm weird, I don't care what others think, and usually when I'm told to act a certain way, I do the complete opposite.

I like to dress nice for any occasion whether it's a baseball game, an interview, or a quick trip to Target. (My girlfriends make fun of me because I refuse to go out without at least concealer and a cute top on).

*****

When it comes to press conferences or interviews, I tend to ignore the norm. I probably shouldn't interview former MLB All-Stars with pants that have some fashion-forward holes in them, but I do it anyways. I was obsessed with this peasant top and green stretchy pants (hello, I love a stretchy pant because I also love cheeseburgers).

Shoutout to Megan who knows I'm not a model, but still managed to make me feel gorgeous!

I tried on this dress...

Wait...let's be honest, this dress wore me.

I've seen women in the industry wearing something similar, but I heard a "Bow Chicka Wow Wow" when I walked out of the dressing room trying it on.

I felt so sexy...which isn't exactly the vibe you want to give at a game, but hey who doesn't love feeling sexy?

The best dress I've ever worn provided by Sierra Belle Boutique

You could pop on a cute jacket and rock this ANYWHERE, and the best part is you're ready for date night...for those of you who have dates.

Embrace your own style, it'll only make you stand out.

Thank you once again to the beautiful and amazing ladies at Sierra Belle Boutique who took care of me and made me feel so special.
